Venice is a unique city , built on 120 islands with a special morphology and more than 400 bridges, despite that there are some interesting  opportunities for people with physical or sensory disabilities to visit Venice.

This are some of the accessible itineraries I can suggest you:

-The Marciana area with the basilica and Doges’ palace .

-Rialto area  and market , banco di giro, gobbo di Rialto.

– Murano and Burano islands.

There are some taxis with elevator for wheel chair, but you must book them in advance, so it is better to visit the city with vaporetto (regular water-bus), that are fully accessible.

When you book your holiday in Venice remember that from middle of October to the end of March the high tide can cover a great part of the city during some hours, so it is better to come form April to September .
